I will be taking the stage at the Rocky Mountain Natural Building Conference happening September 18-20 in Bozeman, MT! This year’s conference focus is on resilience; I’ll be talking about how to make homes more resistant to wildfires, and building with an eye towards future flexibility, e.g,. more easily adding a rainwater catchment system, increasing attic insulation, upgrading windows, using a generator during a power outage, going solar, etc.
Held biennially by the Natural Building Alliance since 2003, the RMNBC focuses on natural building materials, methods, and philosophies, including but not limited to: Strawbale, cob, earthblock, hempcrete, straw-clay, timber framing, natural plastering, low-carbon and low-energy construction, sustainable rainwater use, and more.
Two days include keynote presentations — including breakfast and lunch — co-housing tour, specialized breakout presentations and hands-on workshops and demonstrations.
See you in Bozeman!
